Yoga and Ayurveda, both are two interrelated terms based on the Vedic knowledge that have been encircling all of the human life and the universe since 1,500 BCE. The literal meaning of Ayurveda is “the science of life” which focuses on the importance of individual balance and the balance that is between the individual and the laws of nature. Whereas, Yoga refers to “joining all aspects of individual” i.e. body with mind and mind with soul resulting in a peaceful balance in oneself. Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word “yuj” which means to join, yoke or unite. Hence, they both differ but are relate to each other while overlapping into each other on different levels. Today, yoga is considered as one of the best ways to relieve stress or tension and boost health. It is an effective way to bring your mind, soul and body in harmony altogether.
